I do not like to make generalizations regarding people, but I'm imperfect like everybody else and do fall unto that trap regarding the public "education" system and teachers involved.
from my own personal experience, 12 years in prison and 12 years of destroying my mind to mould me into a good tax slave.
simple put . .. . the people involved in doing that are not the kind of people I want to be monitoring my children for neglect and abuse
I graduated with a scholarship in fine arts, was accepted at University of British Columbia for BA, but no thanks, not really interested. 1st job after graduation was longshoreman out of PortOfVancouver https://www.portvancouver.com/
The education I got there was a 1000 times more valuable than anything I would have gotten from UBC, and I didn't have to go into dept servitude to the cartel of banksters ruining this world
Thank you for your sincere reply. I am still coming to terms with the notion that all the institutions that were the pillars of my generation's society have not been what I thought they were. This is a strange and unsettling place to be.
