The Video didn't Work

You still believe masks work: compilation 2

Once again the mask zealots are threatening society. This is essentially a compilation of mask articles and serves as an appetizer to a new piece I am currently writing.

“It was deeply concerning to see schools “strongly encouraging” children to wear face coverings before the summer break. Despite early hopes, we now know from the real world data that mask mandates had no significant effect on interrupting the spread of coronavirus. Meanwhile, the damaging unintended harms of covering our faces are profound and still being felt. The use of masks is not, and has never been, a benign or recommended public health intervention. “ (Co Chairs of the APPG (All Party Group at Westminster) on Pandemic Response and Recovery)

Robert Halfon, chairman of the House of Commons education select committee, described closing schools as “the biggest and most catastrophic mistake the Government made during Covid”.

“What is frightening is that from what he says there was very little consideration given to the disadvantage that pupils would face from school closures,” he said.

You would have thought that that would have ended it-but powerful forces don’t want an end to the most visible demonstration that there is something to fear (allegedly).

Mask Mandate in Schools Based on Politics Not Evidence, Newly Released Government Documents Reveal

In August 2020, as schools prepared for the return of pupils – many for the first time in six months – No. 10 performed a succession of U-turns on the wearing of masks in schools.

Masks became recommended in communal areas but not in classrooms because, in the words of then PM, Boris Johnson, “that is clearly nonsensical – you can’t teach with face coverings; you can’t expect people to learn with face-coverings.

By March 2021, though, the Department for Education had recommended that all secondary school pupils wear a mask in class.

Despite the Absence of Evidence, Governments Want Us to Mask Up Again. Why?

There’s no case for mask mandates 3 November 2022

We cannot trust models based on bogus assumptions Gary Sidley

As stated previously, the scientific evidence suggests that face coverings achieve no appreciable reduction in the transmission of respiratory viruses. Policies requiring habitual face coverings are not based on solid empirical evidence; a piece of ill-fitting cloth or plastic does not transform into an impermeable viral barrier by virtue of crossing the threshold of a hospital or health centre.

In June this year, Smile Free (a group opposed to mask mandates) wrote an open letter to the NHS chief executives of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The missive — signed by over 2,000 medical and healthcare professionals — called for the lifting of the “requirement” for all staff, patients and visitors to wear a face covering in NHS venues. Citing the most robust sources of scientific evidence from randomised controlled trials in real-world settings, the letter highlighted both the ineffectiveness of masks as a viral barrier; and the potential physical, social and psychological harms associated with their use. Scotland and Wales responded promptly — their attempts to justify their decisions to impose mask requirements in healthcare settings were critiqued in a previous article.

Masks Were Unethical by Design

DECEMBER 10, 2022   MASKS

It begs repeating, and with great emphasis, that every mask you have ever seen on a child is unregulated, untested, and unsafe, with zero efficacy, fit, term of wear, or medical clearance standards. Zero.

In the instance of masks, children are in something for 8-12 hours per day that is not approved for extended wear even in adults. Adults must undergo exhaustive medical clearance and extensive fit testing before donning hazard-specific

Masking of the general public has been a deadly distraction.

BY BENY SPIRA   NOVEMBER 11, 2021  is a professor in the department of microbiology at the University of São Paulo, Brazil.

There is no more vivid symbol of the Covid-19 pandemic than the widespread use of face masks

At the beginning of the pandemic, medical authorities came to the public to contraindicate the community use of masks, claiming that those are needed only by health workers. But something changed in April 2020, as the authorities went from “we do not recommend” to “not only recommend, but also command” the use of masks by all people in all public spaces.

And in case you missed them or would like to check the data
